Benefits at a glance

• Meal allowance — $3,800 per academic year
• Holiday pay — $200 extra for any of 8 holidays worked

• Health coverage — choice of plans provided by Health + Hospitals (HIP or GHI comprehensive medical plan plus Blue Cross hospital benefits). All plans include maternity benefits and coverage for dependent children.
• Prescription coverage (CIR) — $500 yearly for the member and $500 yearly for each dependent
• Optical coverage (CIR) — one free eye exam yearly and one free pair of lenses and frames yearly (up to $225) for each dependent
• Dental coverage (CIR) — two plans through Guardian: Managed Dental Guard (in-network) and Dental Guard Preferred (out-of-network)
• Life insurance (CIR) — $150,000 for the member, $20,000 for a spouse
• Disability coverage (CIR) — short-term disability up to $875 a month for up to 90 days; long-term disability at 70% of annual salary up to $3,500 per month
• Other CIR benefits — OB/GYN and newborn benefits, outpatient mental health, childcare reimbursement, a legal services benefit, free Rosetta Stone language benefit, New York Sports Club discount, a $550 new-resident differential bonus, and PEP reimbursement of up to $650 for mobile devices and educational materials
