Division

Pulmonary / Critical Care Medicine

Leads the medical ICU and a busy pulmonary clinic in the asthma capital of the United States, with a comprehensive asthma program and an ACGME-accredited fellowship.

The pulmonary service leads our medical ICU and runs a busy clinic service. Because of environmental factors, the South Bronx is the asthma capital of the United States, and Lincoln sits at the heart of it. The division operates a comprehensive asthma clinic with asthma education and dedicated social workers. Five to eight full-time faculty provide clinical and inpatient teaching across a broad scope of illness: asthma, COPD, occupational and environmental lung disease, lung cancer, and critically ill adults with uniquely complex presentations.

The division sponsors the ACGME-accredited Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship and the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship.
