Hospital Medicine

Sixteen hospitalists and about 12,000 discharges a year. Every resident team is supervised by a hospitalist, and one is on call every night.

The Division of Hospital Medicine is staffed by 16 hospitalists who care for about 12,000 discharges a year. Every resident team is supervised by a hospitalist, and a hospitalist is on call in-house every night. The telemetry and ventilator units are part of the inpatient service outside the ICU.

Lincoln was one of the first hospitals to adopt the hospitalist model for its diverse inpatient population. Over the years the program has grown into the backbone of the residency’s inpatient training.
