CKD and ESRD care, a busy inpatient hemodialysis unit running three full shifts with on-call emergency dialysis, and expertise in hypertension and electrolyte disorders.
The Nephrology service provides both clinic and inpatient learning opportunities. It is a busy service specializing in chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease, and it runs an inpatient hemodialysis unit with three full shifts a day plus an on-call service for frequent emergency dialysis. The division also brings expertise in hypertension, common and rare electrolyte and mineral disorders, and acid–base derangements. Four full-time faculty are attached to the service.
