On April 27, 2023, the ACGME approved two new fellowship programs in the Department of Medicine: the Infectious Disease – Critical Care Fellowship, directed by Dr. Alexander Lafortune, and the Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship, directed by Dr. Tasneem Zahra. Together with the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care fellowships, the department now sponsors four outstanding in-house fellowship programs.
