Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine

The pulmonary service not only leads our renowned medical ICU, but also has a busy clinic service. Due to environmental factors, south Bronx is the asthma capital of the United States and Lincoln Medical Center is at the heart of it. There is a comprehensive Asthma clinic with asthma education services and dedicated social workers to assist the patients. Five to eight full-time faculty provide both clinical and inpatient education. The scope of illness is broad including asthma, COPD, occupational and environmental lung diseases. Lung cancer and critically ill adult patients which are typically uniquely complicated cases.
