South Bronx is a food desert and as a result, we have a high prevalence of type 2 diabetes and obesity. The Endocrinology services provides a wealth of experience in managing complicated diabetes cases, as running dedicated clinics for thyroid and pituitary disorders as well as incidentalomas .
The clinic includes a Certified Nursing Diabetic Educators and Registered Dietitians to assist the physicians in caring for patients.
