Consult for Addiction Treatment and Care in Hospitals (CATCH)

CATCH Service provides care to patients who are struggling with substance misuse. Their services ranges from managing acute withdrawal or initiating maintenance treatment and follow-up treatment.  They provide a person-centered care to the individual who is experiencing a variety of medical and psychosocial conditions in the context of substance use.  Their goal is to primarily identify patients with substance use disorders in order to facilitate productive therapeutic interaction during the initial phase of patient health system encounter.  Second goal is enhancing ability to manage withdrawal symptoms and stabilization, and thirdly to appreciate the ongoing nature of recovery that is set in motion, or restarted, with an optimal treatment plan.
