HHC Lincoln Hospital’s Division of General Neurology provides highly skilled and value based care in the diagnosis and management of diverse neurological disorders. HHC Lincoln Hospital is a primary stroke center, earning the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval and is a thrombectomy capable center. The neurology service also provides EEG monitoring services both in and outpatient. There is continuous EEG monitoring capability primarily used in our neurology ICU patients. HHC Lincoln hospital also extensively utilizes Ceribell, a cutting edge POC EEG in the ICU and emergency room. The neurology division also provides subspecialty clinics including EMG and Epilepsy clinic.
Faculty:

Amy Postelnik, MD MPH (Chief of Division and Director of Epilepsy), completed all of her medical training in her native NYC. She obtained her medical degree from SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn. She then completed her neurology residency at Mount Sinai Icahn SOM and her subspecialty Epilepsy training at NYP Columbia. She is double board certified in both Neurology and Epilepsy. She has been an attending at HHC Lincoln Hospital since 2021. Dr. Postelnik is the current Director of Epilepsy at HHC Lincoln Hospital and is responsible for founding the sub-specialty Epilepsy clinic, which occurs weekly, along with introducing continuous EEG monitoring. Dr. Postelnik is also an assistant professor at NYP Weill Cornell.

Dr. Mallory Luckey grew up in South Carolina and attended the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed residency + Stroke Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital. She is board certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology.

Dr. Abigail Lofchie is a native New Yorker, growing up in Manhattan. She completed her MD at SUNY Downstate and graduated with Dr Postelnik. She went on to complete her Neurology residency and Epilepsy fellowship at Jacobi Hospital and Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. After graduating, she became an Epilepsy attending at Bellevue Hospital as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at NYU. She is board certified in Adult Neurology and in Epilepsy. She is a member of the American Epilepsy Society Committees on Interdisciplinary Education, Social Determinates of Health, and National Plan for Epilepsy sub-group to Reduce Healthcare Disparities.

Masheena Jamelo, MSN, AGPCNP earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The College of New Rochelle and completed her Master of Science in Nursing at St. John Fisher University, where she trained as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Her clinical experience includes outpatient geriatrics,Adult Primary Care, and occupational health at Lincoln Hospital, where she gained meaningful experience caring for adults with complex, chronic conditions in underserved communities.
