Infectious Disease:

The Infectious Disease Departments mission is to provide state of the art consultation services, clinical care and teaching regarding the diagnosis and management of Infectious Diseases at Lincoln Hospital.

Board Certified Infectious Disease physicians and HIV specialists staff the Division. The department is responsible for Inpatient Consultative Services, Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Control, the Tuberculosis Clinic and HIV Services. Both the Gastroenterology and Infectious Disease Services manage a Hepatitis Clinic jointly.

The HIV Services Department comprises The Immunotherapy Clinic, Family Based HIV care and support services, COBRA Case Management, Social Work Services, Treatment Adherence Program and Substance Abuse/Harm Reduction Counseling Services.

The Division networks closely with other Research Institutions in the area to provide access to HIV research trials and expanded access drugs. Three NIH funded research trials are currently available at Lincoln for patient enrollment in the Tuberculosis and Imumotherapy Clinics.
